Delaware residents in TTUHSC's online nurse practitioner tracks
TTUHSC's licensure page lists Delaware as meeting requirements for its graduate APRN tracks, and nothing on it shuts Delaware residents out. The state's board is hands-on, though. A school from outside Delaware has to give the Board advance word and a packet of records before it puts students in a Delaware facility, and the Board must clear each facility before a student can be assigned there.

What Delaware's Board wants before a rotation starts
The nursing education standards in Title 24, section 1900 of Delaware's Administrative Code cover every program alike and never split pre-licensure from graduate study. An outside school gives the Board notice of its plans in advance and files these records before its first student arrives.
The paperwork Delaware lists
- Its home board's approval, or proof of national accreditation
- The signed agreement it holds with each Delaware clinical agency
- How it qualifies its clinical faculty and preceptors
- A roster pairing every faculty member and preceptor with a site
- License copies for those people, Delaware-issued or multistate under the compact
Each facility is cleared by the Board ahead of any placement, relying on forms the school submits, and Board staff may come to look. In Delaware's rules, a preceptor means a licensed nurse educated to at least the BSN level, and online program faculty who teach inside a Delaware facility need a license at or beyond the level their student is working toward. The filings are the school's to make, so check with your program director or the Graduate Coordinator on TTUHSC's approach to Delaware before settling any dates.
Two compacts, and only one is running
Delaware nurses have held compact licenses since 2018. A Delaware resident holding a multistate RN license clears TTUHSC's MSN bar, which asks for a compact multistate license or, alternatively, a Texas one, in good standing, and that same license meets Delaware's own expectations. Delaware put its name to the APRN Compact in August 2021. Five have enacted it so far, and it does nothing until a seventh signs on, so for today's students it changes nothing. AANP already classes Delaware as a full practice state.
How TTUHSC's tracks apply in Delaware
TTUHSC's School of Nursing runs graduate clinical courses in the student's own area and must approve the preceptor as well as the site. In Delaware, that review runs alongside the Board's facility clearance.

Admission is decided separately. TTUHSC's graduate program pages say shifting regulations prevent it from confirming eligibility for every state at the moment you apply, so write to Admissions first if your home is outside Texas.
Wilmington, Dover and the Pennsylvania border
Northern Delaware belongs to the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington metro, Dover sits at the center, and the Seaford area takes in the south. Bayhealth, Beebe Healthcare and ChristianaCare lead the list of Delaware systems, and Nemours Children's Health keeps its Delaware hospital in Wilmington, a landmark for pediatric NP students. They illustrate the landscape only; a site's willingness and TTUHSC's approval are separate questions.
That metro spills into Pennsylvania, one of the ten states where TTUHSC says it is unable to accept graduate students. A Delaware address keeps you in an open state, but a site across the line or a move north changes the picture. A move of any kind needs notice to TTUHSC 60 days in advance, per the moving guide.

Is TTUHSC's online PMHNP open to Delaware residents?
Delaware carries a Meets mark for TTUHSC's MSN APRN tracks, PMHNP among them, with no unable-to-accept note. Whether you get in is TTUHSC's decision, and applicants from outside Texas are asked to check with Admissions before submitting. Does a Delaware preceptor need a Delaware license?
The school's Delaware filing includes license copies for each preceptor, either Delaware-issued or multistate through the compact, so either kind works for that list. TTUHSC then decides, on its own terms, whether the preceptor fits your course.
Does Delaware's APRN Compact help me after graduation?
Not at the moment. Delaware adopted it in 2021, yet that compact activates only at seven enacting states, and so far there are five. Check where it stands as your finish date gets closer.
Can a Delaware clinic host me before the Board approves it?
Delaware's standards have the Board clear a clinical facility before any student is assigned, working from forms the school submits, with possible site visits. Leave room for that step in your timeline and ask TTUHSC how it manages Delaware sites.
